Meet The Team
Charlie Seybold
President
When it comes to designing HVAC systems for any commercial application, nobody does it better than Charlie Seybold. He founded the company in 2013 and continues to oversee all aspects of the business today.
Pleasant and soft spoken, Charlie’s demeanor is a breath of fresh air in the construction industry, but his credentials speak for themselves: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (University of Florida), Certified LEED Green Associate, recognized as a Professional Engineer (PE) by the State of Florida, and over 30 years’ experience in HVAC.
On those rare days when Charlie’s not working, you’ll find him with his family, hopefully out on his boat.
Christina Salley Financial Officer
Although Christina Salley’s official title is Financial Officer, she’s also known as the “CIC,” or “Chick In Charge” at Cooltrace. It’s a fitting description, as she has helped establish and operate the company alongside her brother, Charlie Seybold, since 2013.

Christina, who holds a Master’s degree in Construction Management from FIU, handles the office and financial operations. She brings a strong sense of commitment to exceptional work, dedication to details, and a desire to enrich the lives of her coworkers, customers and clients.
In her free time Christina loves to travel and spend time with her husband, two beautiful children, and their Corgi dog, Bentley.
Cary Glines
VP of Operations
A diverse background in the world of construction gives Cary Glines a unique ability to provide truly exceptional customer service. Spanning a career of more than 20 years, Cary gained insights as a developer at an Owner’s Representative firm, a General Contractor at a national GC company, and a subcontractor with various HVAC providers.
All that experience, plus his Master’s degree in Construction Management has been put to good use, as Cary has participated in the construction of over 500 floors of new high-rise construction in South Florida.
Any spare time finds Cary spending time with his wife and children, playing golf, or deep sea fishing.
Toby Howling
General Supervisor
In his many years in the HVAC industry, Toby Howling has amassed an impressive list of credentials and expertise. His licenses include N29 Master Mechanical, Pipefitter/Steamfitter, and Sheet Metal/Refrigeration. He’s handled projects with HVAC projects over $30 million. Colleagues have joked about Toby’s near wizardry at being able to resolve problems few others could even understand.
What does Toby do in his free time? Here’s a hint: Ask him about his famous spaghetti tacos.

He later started Commercial Cool-Temp Corp, which quickly grew to over 80 employees, working together with Charlie, his son. After selling in 2012 he joined son Charlie and daughter Christina at Cooltrace and enjoys every minute of it.
Richard Smith
Project Manager
Richard Smith has been working in the construction industry since the late 1990s, primarily in the Mechanical and HVAC sectors. Eighteen of those years were spent in Puerto Rico, where he completed his BSME studies, married, and raised his two daughters.
Born in New York City, Richard's background is a blend of his father's Irish heritage and his mother's Puerto Rican and Spanish roots. He graduated from high school in Brooklyn, New York, before moving to Puerto Rico for college.
Richard values a close-knit family life, enjoying outdoor activities, music, dancing, and travel. He strongly believes in a work hard, play hard philosophy, while maintaining a good work-family balance.
Abby Mejia
Assistant Project Manager
Abby Mejia started with Cooltrace as an Estimator before taking on her current role as an Assistant Project Manager. Her passions include travel, spending time with loved ones, and her faithful Frenchie, plus enjoying great sunsets at the beach.
She is a proud FAMU alumni with a degree in Architecture, as well as a skilled chef. Reading and sketching are Abby’s primary hobbies.
The construction industry became Abby’s career in 2016, and she has never looked back. She’s lived in Tallahassee and New York, but when not wandering and exploring, she’s found her way back to South Florida, which she calls home.
